Genon's R&D team and genetic experts have been working hard to put new state-of-the-art equipment to use.

In 2009 Genon Laboratories invested in real-time PCR equipment in order to offer quantitative DNA based analysis.

First to hit our routine range of services is quantitative meat speciation, with a range of 0.01-100% on Cattle, Pig, Sheep and Chicken/Turkey. As always, our services are rapid (3 days) and cost-effective. Testing for authenticy or presence of any other plant or animal species in any sample matrix is available for a modest development charge and with a 3-4 week turnaround time.

Now in development is the quantification of GMO presence. Some services are available as of January 2010 and we hope to be able to offer a full range with UKAS accreditation in the near future.
