HACCP/Hygiene Courses

Courses offered include:
  ♦    Fundamentals of Food Hygiene. One day, 8 guided learning hours, non QCA accredited
  ♦    Fundamentals of HACCP. One day, 8 guided learning hours, non QCA accredited
  ♦    Basic Food Hygiene Level 2 RSPH. One day, 8 guided learning hours intended for food handlers working in catering and hospitality, food retail or food manufacturing.
  ♦    Intermediate Food Hygiene Level 3 RSPH. 3 days, 20-25 guided learning hours, intended for those wishing to develop supervisor or junior manager skills relating to food safety in catering food manufacturing or retail
  ♦    Advanced Food Hygiene Level 4 RSPH. 6 days, intended for managers and potential managers in catering and hospitality and the food and drink manufacturing industry also suitable for those responsible for training other food handlers within their sector or industry

Food Hygiene Consultancy

Genon can provide your business with a complete advisory and consultancy service for all its food hygiene requirements. This includes all aspects of writing and updating HACCP plans. All aspects of systems audit including lead auditor and auditor training.

We can ensure your business is conversant with all current legislation and provide you with custom alerts when regulations are changed or created.

In addition Genon can provide full food hygiene consultancy covering the writing of standards and procedures leading to the accreditation by BRC (British Retail Consortium) and EFSIS (European Food Safety Inspection Standards)

Health & Safety Training

In addition to food safety training and consultancy, Genon trainers can provide Health and Safety Services to meet your business needs.

Courses and services available include:
  ♦    Level One/Basic H&S. A one day course ideal for any business wishing to train ‘shop-floor’ operators in the principals of H&S. This course covers all areas of legislation and includes a hazard spotting exercise as well as a multi-choice exam certificated by The Royal Society for the Promotion of Health. 
  ♦    Advanced Health & Safety. A six working day (split as required) course aimed at Supervisors and Managers wishing to oversee the running of Health & Safety in their business. Certificated by The Royal Society for the Promotion of Health. 
  ♦    Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). A half day course covering the provision and use of chemicals in the workplace. Certificated by The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. 
  ♦    Manual Handling. A half day course covering the most notified accident reporting area. A must for all manual workers and companies wishing to show ‘Due Diligence’ in this controversial area of Health & Safety. Certificated by The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. 
  ♦    Risk Assessment. A one day course suitable for all businesses. Legislation states that if the company employs 5 or more employees then Risk Assessments must be carried out in the workplace to identify all potential risks and hazards. This course covers all areas of legislation and explains fully how to document the risks involved. Certificated by the Chamber of Commerce. 
  ♦    Full Health & Safety Audit. Carried out by a trained Health & Safety consultant including a full written report and recommendations for improvement.
